R Rajani, WJ Keon and P Bedard
A case of rupture of an intra-aortic balloon is reported. The rupture,
noted 34 hours after insertion of the balloon, was caused by perforation by
an atheromatous plaque. The patient exhibited no adverse effects from the
episode.
