Operative balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty
JT Walls, Z Lababidi and JJ Curtis
Closed operative pulmonary valvulotomy for relief of critical pulmonary
valve stenosis can be performed effectively by intraoperative use of a
balloon catheter without inflow occlusion or hemodynamic instability and
with minimal blood loss. Follow-up evaluation indicates adequate growth of
the valve.
