The case of a 60-year-old patient with severe stenosis of both proximal
pulmonary arteries resulting from Takayasu's arteritis is reported. The
thoracic aorta and pulmonary artery were calcified. Patch enlargement of
the pulmonary arteries was successfully performed. Operative biopsies
confirmed the diagnosis of nonspecific arteritis consistent with Takayasu's
disease.
