You hypothesized that gossypol would enhance Apo2L and TRAIL-mediated apoptosis through its ability to inhibit Bcl2 and perhaps BclXL. Do you have any evidence that this is indeed the pathway? For instance, have you performed any siRNA experiments with either Bcl2 or BclXL that would be more confirmatory of your hypothesis?
